My Story
As a retired Olympic athlete turned athlete advocate, I have realised the needs for athletes are many, and often feel unmet.
As a member of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF) Executive Committee, The IOC Athletes Rights and Responsibilities Declaration Steering Committee and the WADA Athletes Council, I am able to serve athletes through advocacy, working to ensure their voices are heard at the highest levels of sport, and to work to improve governance standards in each of these realms. Through these positions, coupled with my education, I have been able to improve my governance knowledge, and have turned in to a governance nerd. Governance is so important for sporting organisations to improve efficiencies, and with solid governance standards, this sets the foundation to safeguard athletes.

As part of growing platforms to help athletes be able to share their stories, The Prodigal Athlete Podcast was launched as a place to share encouraging stories, of where God is showing up in athletes lives! The goal of this podcast is that it is just the start of being able to build profiles so that athletes can gain sponsorship, and further opportunities through things like speaking engagements, and building their brands / businesses! (If you are a business looking to sponsor an athlete - don't hesitate to reach out! I am sure I have an athlete who would love to team up with you!)
